The Storyteller: Parables of Jesus

You may be tempted to "flyover" this small parable, but the Storyteller invites you to dive deeper into the heart of God with Him. Using a woman as the proxy for God, the woman's diligent search for a seemingly insignificant coin illustrates for us that when it comes to God seeking the lost, failure is not an option; if it is His, He does not want to lose even one.

Again, we find that the scandal is this: the Kingdom is not how we think or expect it to be. It does not exclude those the world tends or desires to exclude. And those of us who are seeking first His Kingdom are invited to do it His way: invibing His desire for ALL to be a part by seeking the lost in such a way that shows how God values them, by rejoicing as He does upon finding those who are lost, and by inviting every person you come into contact with to join the search as well because of the blessing it is to be under the banner of God's infinite grace!
